You'll begin by building a strong foundation in customer service, insurance products, and agency operations. As you demonstrate proficiency and readiness, you'll progressively develop into Property & Casualty insurance sales, with opportunities to expand into Life & Health insurance.
Our long-term goal is to develop versatile team members who confidently manage customer relationships, deliver exceptional service, and identify opportunities to help customers protect what matters most.
For individuals with leadership aspirations, additional development opportunities may include the State Farm Agent Aspirant program.

Key Responsibilities


Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Deliver exceptional customer service in English and Spanish through phone, email, text, and in-person interactions.
  • Assist customers with policy inquiries, payments, coverage changes, insurance documentation, and claim-related questions.
  • Build lasting customer relationships through proactive communication and consistent follow-through.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and efficiently manage service requests.
  • Collaborate with team members and appropriate support departments to resolve customer needs.
Insurance Sales & Professional Development

  • Develop a strong foundation in customer service, insurance products, and agency operations.
  • Learn to identify customer needs, conduct coverage reviews, and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Progress into Property & Casualty sales, including quoting, presenting coverage options, and building customer relationships.
  • Expand into Life & Health insurance through additional training, licensing, and hands-on experience.
  • Participate in ongoing coaching, sales training, and professional development.
  • Develop into a well-rounded insurance professional capable of managing both customer service and sales responsibilities.

Preferred Experience

  • 1–2 years of customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous sales or office experience is a plus.
  • Insurance experience is not required.
Licensing Requirements

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain the appropriate Washington State insurance licenses within the agency's established timeframe. Guidance and resources will be provided to support the licensing process.
